my computer broke. (because i bought a shitty computer bag from french-owned k-mart wannabe carrefour and the strap snapped and the bag proceeded to drop in the street, while all the little pieces inside my computer meet their shattering death). i dropped it off at a computer store in what is essentially 7ay alteknologia here in alex, and the guy calls me 20 minutes ago. we can fix it, it will cost you 850 guinea. i ask him, 850 akhir kalam? (the last word? this is the beginning of a bargaining convo). he responds, ah bi izn allah insha’ allah (yes, with the permission of god, if god wills it… this is the end of aforementioned bargaining convo). exhausted and just really missing youtube and blogs and cracked.com and itunes, i agree to the word of god and i am now wait for a phone call telling me that my computer is fixed.
